Summary

What if everything you’ve ever loved, ever known, ever believed to be true…just disappeared?

Annie Beyers has everything—a beautiful house, a loving husband, and an adorable daughter。 It’s a day like any other when she takes Hannah to the pediatrician…until she wakes hours later from a car accident。 When she asks for her daughter, confused doctors tell Annie that Hannah never existed。 In fact, nothing after waking from the crash is the same as Annie remembers。 Five happy years of her life apparently never happened。

Annie’s marriage is coming to an end。 Now a successful artist living in Manhattan, she’s no longer home in their beloved upstate farmhouse。 Her long-estranged sister is more like a best friend, and her recently deceased dog is alive and well。 With each passing day, Annie’s remembered past and unfamiliar present begin to blur。 Haunted by visions of Hannah, and with knowledge of things she can’t explain, Annie wonders…is everyone lying to her?

The search for answers leads Annie down an illuminating path far from home, to reconcile the memories with reality and to discover the truth about the life she’s living。

Confusing and unsettlingAnnie is confused and takes the reader with her。 I like a mystery but not one as convoluted as this。 I found myself speed reading a d skipping paragraphs just to get through it。 Based on a novel but unrelated idea。

What an interesting journey this book was。。。 I liked it the most at the beginning, the middle to latter half I didn't love it, then at the end I thought it wrapped up nicely。 What an interesting journey this book was。。。 I liked it the most at the beginning, the middle to latter half I didn't love it, then at the end I thought it wrapped up nicely。 。。。more

Great ReadThis enchanting tale was spun beautifully。 Really enjoyed the parallel universe theories。 Delightful characters and a great storyline。 Makes you think about your life and how it would be different if you had maybe taken a different Road along the way

Intriguing and absorbing, really draws you in。 Is her life real? Imagination? Paranormal happenings? Keeps you guessing and rapidly swiping pages!

Taunting mind twisting storyYearning for the life you always dreamed of or feeling out of place, out of time。Do parallel worlds sometimes connect and haphazardly switch a person's occupancy of their own world to a not quite duplicate world?Annie seems lost in someone else's life。 How to explain her panic, how to stay sane, how to fix the collision point and restore her life?Read on and judge for yourself。 Taunting mind twisting storyYearning for the life you always dreamed of or feeling out of place, out of time。Do parallel worlds sometimes connect and haphazardly switch a person's occupancy of their own world to a not quite duplicate world?Annie seems lost in someone else's life。 How to explain her panic, how to stay sane, how to fix the collision point and restore her life?Read on and judge for yourself。 。。。more

Just not my cup of teaIt was okay, nothing stunning and honestly it all seemed to come together as expected。 I probably wouldn't read another book by the author。 Just not my cup of teaIt was okay, nothing stunning and honestly it all seemed to come together as expected。 I probably wouldn't read another book by the author。 。。。more

Parallel lives Really enjoyed this book。 Annie is a loving wife and mom with a picturesque life until she gets into a car accident, wakes up and finds out she was never a mother and she is getting divorced。 How can life change so drastically in a day? Which reality is real? What I liked。I’m glad the author kept it short and didn’t prolong the story。 Most of the book is trying to figure out if she is crazy or not so I appreciate getting to that point quickly instead of leading us on forever and be Parallel lives Really enjoyed this book。 Annie is a loving wife and mom with a picturesque life until she gets into a car accident, wakes up and finds out she was never a mother and she is getting divorced。 How can life change so drastically in a day? StunningWrite the novel。 What a beautiful almost morose tale。 You have to keep reading to know how it ends。 Wow。

Think about this story,I could hardly put this book down。 Maybe you and I have had moments where we are sure we know a person but they have a different name now。 This has been my experience several times and I wondered what they meant。 I still wonder how about you?

Intriguing! The author moves us seamlessly back and forth between the two perceived lives of the main character。 I was continually looking in the details for the answers just as hard as Annie was。 It sucked me in and has me looking forward to reading the referenced works of Brian Green。

Ama,ing!I loved this book!!! The author made Annie so real and I was crying for her most of the time。 I believed in Hannah the whole time and the way she brought it out was so thrilling!!!! Going back to the house。。。。how much I think we all have moments we would dearly love to go back to like that!!!!! Thanks soooo much for such an amazing book!!!!

Evocative I enjoyed the book, the premise of handling the what if one has made different decisions in the past, what would ones life be like now? Most of us wonder, and will never know。 Yet whatever the decisions are there is always the hope to realize our dreams。 Great book beautifully written ,the kind of book that makes me think , wonder ends on a beautifully appropriately hopeful note。

Good readDid enjoy this book but thought the ending was a little bit rushed and could have done with a little more explanation。

WOWEnjoyed this complex subject presented in an easily understood entertaining, interesting storyline。 I can't exactly express the enjoyment and suspense in which I read it。 That combined with a satisfying ending made for a perfect read。 WOWEnjoyed this complex subject presented in an easily understood entertaining, interesting storyline。 I can't exactly express the enjoyment and suspense in which I read it。 That combined with a satisfying ending made for a perfect read。 。。。more

I loved this book! I like how is unfolded and I was guessing about what actually happened。 It was sad and yet hopeul。 Not sure which outcome you really wanted the story to end with。 I read this on a prerelease and it was a quick read for me。

Very entertaining and thought provoking novel。 My second Amazon Prime First Reads for October and it was a winner! Thank you to Amazon for this read!

This was my Amazon Kindle First pick this month! A cute and quick read about a woman who gets into a car crash and wakes up in a new life。 Divorced from her husband and never having had a daughter。 The book is ultimately about the various paths you can take in life and how one decision can have a ripple effect on so many。 There were so many possible ways this book could’ve went, but the explanation for it all felt a bit “eh” and too cheesy for me。 The book itself kept me hooked though。

Gaby

Very very satisfying I wasn’t expecting to want to stop doing anything else to finish this book as fast as I could read - but it’s what I’ve done with my day today (but shhh)。 What a great story was spun - I loved it。

Lori

SpellbindingI found this book absolutely hard to put down。 It was heartbreaking and the best thing I have read in a very long time。

Jenn

Great read!Loved the concept of this book in real life。 Totally get what this story line was and feel at some point have experienced what could be a double timeline。 Very intriguing。 Was hard to put down at times。

Loved this story about memories I'm so glad I chose this book as one of the two First Reads for October。 It is also the first book I have read by this author。and certainly won't be the last。 Annie, the main character, has a bad accident on the way to taking her daughter Hannah to the doctor。 She wakes up hours later and no one knows anything about her daughter 。 Nothing is the same as Annie remembers。 including her happy marriage。 She is a successful artist living in Manhattan, no longer living Loved this story about memories I'm so glad I chose this book as one of the two First Reads for October。 It is also the first book I have read by this author。and certainly won't be the last。 Annie, the main character, has a bad accident on the way to taking her daughter Hannah to the doctor。 She wakes up hours later and no one knows anything about her daughter 。 Nothing is the same as Annie remembers。 including her happy marriage。 She is a successful artist living in Manhattan, no longer living in the wonderful farmhouse。 She starts seeing a psychiatrist to help her with her memories。 The author developed the characters and plot to keep the reader engaged throughout the book。 I highly recommend this book and look forward to more books by this author。 。。。more

Fast ReadI enjoyed this book because it was a fast read that draws you in quickly and keeps your interest through a variety of well-described environments。 The characters could have used a little more fleshing out, but we're really only concerned about Annie。 Gave it four stars because the premise is just a bit too far out there but still a fun and quick read as a break between some heavier titles。 Fast ReadI enjoyed this book because it was a fast read that draws you in quickly and keeps your interest through a variety of well-described environments。 The characters could have used a little more fleshing out, but we're really only concerned about Annie。 Gave it four stars because the premise is just a bit too far out there but still a fun and quick read as a break between some heavier titles。 。。。more

I chose this for the Amazon First Reads for the month of October and very happy with this choice。 This was so different from what I normally read and was so intrigued。 It's best not to say too much about the story other than it has many twists and turns and could have been an episode of the Twilight Zone。 A masterful debut novel! Engaging from the beginning, I was able to finish this holiday read over just two days。 Beautiful descriptions and deep character development made this an enjoyable immersive book。 A little different to my usual choice of genre, this was an unusual and thought-provoking story。
